Autumn Casserole

3-4 cups tart apples (large bite size chunks)
3-4 cups cooked squash (large bite size pieces, boiled 5-10 mins)
1 cup chopped pecans, divided.
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 T. whole wheat flour
1 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. sea salt
2 T. butter
3/4 cup orange juice

Place half the apples and half the squash in a buttered 2-qt. baking dish. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, 1/2 cup pecans, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly sprinkle half over the apple and carrots. Repeat layers. Pour orange juice over all and sprinkle with remaining pecans. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
