For the Bees

Create Diverse Plantings

Different pollinators are active at different times of year, so include a variety of plants that bloom from early spring through late fall. To attract the full spectrum of pollinators, choose plants of various heights, including flowering trees and shrubs, and those with a range of flower shapes and sizes.

Plant an organic garden

that does not use pesticides. Be sure to grow lots of pollinator-friendly drought tolerant native plants!!

Provide a water source

Honey bees need clean water to drink! Fill a bowl with water. And place marbles in the bowl. The bees will have a resting place while they drink.

Put out a

swarm box in your garden!

Rescue

 (rather than exterminate)

Help wild bees find a permanent home!
